Welcome to the Center for Advanced Metabolomics and Proteomics Research (CAMPR) at the New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) of the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences. CAMPR resides centrally in the Cancer Institute of New Jersey-Newark, 205 S. Orange Ave, Newark, NJ 07103.
State-of-the-Art Instrumentation for Advanced Research
This facility is equipped with a suite of state-of-the-art mass spectrometers, advanced proteomics instruments, and robust bioinformatics systems to support comprehensive protein structure and function analysis, as well as spatial metabolomics.
CAMPR's cutting-edge instrumentation includes:
♦ Bruker timsTOF AIP MS (S10OD034300): This instrument is central to our high-performance capabilities, offering unparalleled high sensitivity proteomics. Its advanced ion mobility separation is critical for challenging applications such as immunopeptidomics and serum biomarker discovery, where high resolution and deep coverage are essential.
♦ Orbitrap Fusion Lumos Tribrid Mass Spectrometer (S10OD025047): Acquired through an NIH High-End Instrumentation Grant, the Lumos MS offers high sensitivity, fast scan speed, and multi-fragmentation options. It's a powerful tool for achieving in-depth protein expression and sensitive identification of post-translational modifications of proteins isolated from cells, tissues, and organisms.
♦Waters DESI Synapt XS: A versatile system utilized for spatial metabolomics, the DESI Synapt XS allows researchers to perform surface imaging and analysis directly from tissue sections, providing critical insights into the localized distribution of metabolites and lipids.
We at CAMPR look forward to helping researchers at Rutgers and all over the world with their proteomics and metabolomics analysis needs.
